Organic Hemp Seeds Unhulled

Organic hulled hemp seeds from myvial are a versatile addition to a varied, mindful diet. The small hemp nuts provide carbohydrates and fiber, as well as numerous valuable nutrients. Whether as a topping, in bread or as a snack between meals – hemp seeds are now an indispensable part of the modern kitchen.

Nutrients in organic hulled hemp seeds

According to the manufacturer, hemp seeds contain the following ingredients:

• 22% protein
• Antioxidants
• Omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids
• Vitamins A, B, C, D and E
• Fiber
• Trace elements

The minerals contained include calcium, potassium, magnesium, sulfur and iron. Hemp seeds are therefore a good plant-based source of protein.

Omega-3 fatty acids and proteins

A large proportion of the fat in hemp seeds consists of polyunsaturated fatty acids, including the essential fatty acids linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid. The omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid is found in high concentrations in hemp seeds, whereas it is only present in small amounts in many other foods (e.g. in linseed and rapeseed oil). Alpha-linolenic acid contributes to the maintenance of normal cholesterol levels. The seeds also contain the omega-6 fatty acid gamma-linolenic acid. The proteins in hemp are also noteworthy: hemp protein provides all the essential amino acids that humans must obtain through their diet.

How to use organic hulled hemp seeds

Hulled hemp seeds are perfect as a topping for muesli, sweet dishes or salads and as a snack between meals. In bread, they provide a pleasant crunch. The seeds are also very suitable for sprouting. Hemp seeds can also be used to make delicious hemp milk quickly and easily: blend the seeds with water and strain – ready. As a topping for bowls, yogurt or soups, the seeds add a nutty note to any dish. According to the manufacturer, hemp seeds contain no gluten or lactose.
